• Dr Wing has completed a full range of Australian and US Army professional intelligence training courses.  

• He has completed specialist training in:  Imagery Intelligence; Collection Management; Human Intelligence; Interrogation, Resistance to Interrogation; Conduct After Capture; and Staff Processes.

• His career included eight years of service in strategic intelligence in the Defence Intelligence Organisation.

• Desk Officer:  USSR Armed Forces; Afghanistan resistance forces; and Cambodian resistance forces.  

• Intelligence service in the US, UK, France, PNG, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Tanzania.

• Exchange Instructor at the United States Army Intelligence Center, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. 

• Awarded the United States Army Commendation Medal.

• Intelligence Officer, Headquarters 6th Brigade.

• Intelligence Officer of the Special Air Service Regiment and the Tactical Assault Group.

• Defence Intelligence Representative on the Sydney Olympic Games Working Group.

• Co-Author of The Guiding Principles of Law Enforcement Intelligence (1997).

• Director Corporate Intelligence, Distillery Solutions – client-base, the Australian intelligence agencies.

• Awarded the Open Source Solutions (OSS) Golden Candle Award for services to open source intelligence.

• He has many years of international contract experience in operational and strategic intelligence.
